Tourret Publishing is an independent publisher specialising in railway books, based near Oxford in England.

Our current list includes two books on the railways of the Middle East:

• The Railways of Palestine and Israel details the history of all lines in Palestine and Israel, ranging from obscure and ephemeral narrow gauge military lines to the existing standard gauge network.
• By contrast, the Hedjaz Railway tells the amazing story of a remarkable line, built as a religious railway by the Turks and subsequently much fought over by, among others, Lawrence of Arabia.

Allied Military Locomotives of the Second World War gives a comprehensive account of the many interesting locomotives, both steam and diesel, built for the British War Department and the United States Army Transportation Corps during the Second World War.

GWR Engineering Work, 1928-1938 reviews the impressive works carried out by the Great Western Railway during the course of a decade in which the company seemed to rebuild their entire system notwithstanding the Depression.
